All/The majority of the talk on the other boards have been about the 7th people.
Are there any here that are still in the original settlement and are either waiting to be audited, in audit, in contest or now in mediation/show cause?
I am in show cause, but asked for mediation (in November 2005) and still waiting for a response from CC/Wyeth on when (or if) we go to mediation. Show cause has been acknowledged, but nothing from the "trust" (term used lightly) as to when, where, time frame, etc.
So, wondering how many of us are in the same holding pattern.

I am in the 7th and have been approved. I am from NC and my attorney states there can be not payments made to the cat 1 until all the cat 2's have been paid. I am assuming this is for the ones that remain in the 7th. I hope I am understanding. He states he thinks it might be this year but it will be hard to tell since everything is taking so long. What is your opinion. Lady in waiting

Isn't it amazing? All other doctors are frauds........ Go figure. And JB agrees with them. How pathetic is our "justice" system?

Lady in waiting, you say that you are in the 7th and have been approved, and received notice that your claim was approved for category one payment? If so, obviously they are working on the reviews also. When did you find out your claim was approved for payment? Any indication to how much you are going to receive?

Remember that the 7th operates somewhat differently. It is a fund that is distributed to the approved claims based on the points they are assigned. Once all claims have been processed they take the total number of points awarded and divide the total fund by that number. Then the number of points you are awarded is multiplied by that factor. In other words you get a pro-rata distribtion of the fund based on your percentage fo the total points awarded.
Anyone who passes the 7th should be rooting for a low pass rate as that will mean a smaller number of approved claims splitting the pot.
If the 10-11% pass rate continues the average award will be $200,000+.

I found out that my claim was approved in March of this year and my attorney states hopefully by the end of this year. He also states there is no way of knowing until all the reviews have been done. I hope it is soon. Lady in waiting
