Betty
I'm going to call CC tomorrow and see what trouble I can get into by answering you.
Cause I do know.
And the more people who know this type of info the better.

straight from Wyeth....
Class Counsel forwarded to me your question about whether you may share with other Class Members information on the offer made to you to resolve your Show Cause claim. Wyeth extended the opportunity to participate in the Show Cause resolution program to all Class Members with pending Show Cause claims. The program offered the same terms to all similarly-situated Class Members. Wyeth did not require that Class Members keep the terms of the proposal confidential. Whether you share information about the status of your claim and the proposal made to you is your personal decision
So Betty, sounds like maybe everyone in showcause might see this type offer, but the "similarly-situated" classification is based on their interpetation of relevant values.
Needless to say I refused the offer. The parties are hiding criminal activity that has been perpetrated against this class, that act in itself needs to be brought in front of a court.
Scheff, the special trust counsel who filed them, points out that businesses have every right to use money to make a problem go away. "Wyeth recognizes that in the process, claims that are completely illegal may get paid," he says.
Scheff either failed to comprehend or acknowledge that claimants who had thier echoes jacked were also victims with concerns in this issue, "every stick has two ends"...................welcome showcause and the court of appeals.

Betty asks
................nick do you think this will ever get in front of any court?
Betty, this has been one heluva ride huh? Let me answer your question this way.
Let's look at what happened at Penn State. There was a horrible, fiendish crime committed there and what did the major parties do?......They hid the crime. They hid the evidence of the crime.....they thought they had fixed things
..................well what happened...everyone now knows there were crimes committed there in the past and the people in charge who hid those crimes are now in court facing criminal charges all these years later. No one disputes that there were crimes committed here too, and just as those Penn State officials thought they had successfully hid those crimes the parties here have that same swagger.

mae,
this is what wyeth has said about the offers:
In September, 2011, Wyeth embarked upon a settlement program for Class Members with pending show cause claims, in an effort to provide these Class Members with an opportunity to resolve their claims and to remove show cause cases from the Court’s docket. In this program, Class Members like Mr. Napora with pending show cause claims that had not yet been reviewed by one of the Technical Advisors assisting the Court on the medical issues presented by show cause claims could elect to be paid $5,000 or to receive a complete medical review by the three physicians on the Consensus Expert Panel appointed by the Court in Court Approved Procedure No. 11 to oversee the audits of Matrix claims. Wyeth extended this offer to Mr. Napora. Though many Class Members have accepted Wyeth’s proposal, Mr. Napora rejected his offer, choosing instead to allow his claim to remain in the show cause process
Mae, you had already received your ta report yet wyeth still has come back to offer you, which contradicts what wyeth states here. They did this exact thing to me also. I had already popped for the 1500 a half year earlier
Wyeth and their lawyers lie to us all the time. Where the hell is that piece of krap cc who should be weighing in?
mae i know at one time you were a cap 15 person who had opted out. why were you cap 15 elidgable? Do you know?
Is there something wrong with your claim? what did the party's tell you?
God, this behavior of these officers of the court is totally out of control. LIE LIE LIE.

I received an offer....very small offer. I refused. Haven't heard anything else. I am a CAP 15 claimant & also received a very small offer. I refused it. After all the charges on the bill of my attorney so he would be paid, I would have to pay -- out of my own pocket -- to settle my claim. After 10 years of fighting this I'm not going to just "settle". What a joke this has been & it sure has destroyed my faith in the "justice system".

Can we ask what was the issue with your echo? Why did you agree to cap 15? So you are still represented by an atty?
did your atty that represented you provide the echo for you..?
did he recommend cap 15?.....do you know why you are in cap 15?
just trying to get a feel for what is going on with your claim
thanks for sharing
