Cathy, it just showed up. Along with a page and a half of how no one is liable for anything. Just another way for Wyeth to get off the hook.

It is my understanding that a certain creten in Houston. The big guy that is..............supposedly hasn't received the checks for the green form people who ended up in cat 2. So they have no clue when these checks will arrive, because those people are supposedly going through yet ANOTHER review .... Review? By whom? Since I am getting second handed info here, I don't know...but it sure sounds weird, doesn't it? Personal opinion here..this guy is shafting his clients a second time. If one has 900 clients, and receives 2k for each of them, that comes to about 1.8 mil that can sit in the bank a few days and draw interest.

zfirehairz, Payments to clients are deposited in client trust accounts, known as IOLTA accounts in Texas. The interest generated on those accounts goes straight from the bank to the State Bar of Texas for their indigent client programs. Your lawyer doesn't make one red cent off of settlement funds sitting in his account.

Well considering most of those SCUMBAG attys ****** their clients, one can expect that one would think the worst. Don't be so surprised.

The Rules Governing the Operation of the Texas Equal Access to Justice Foundation, adopted by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1988, prohibit the use of IOLTA funds to directly fund class action suits, lawsuits against governmental entities, or lobbying for or against political candidates or issues.
Can't use them for class actions, but don't mind taking the proceeds....
